Physical Science and Robotics Teacher (Vacancy Announcement)

A private, college-preparatory school in South Carolina is seeking a science
teacher to commence work in August 2008.

 

The teaching duties are quite interesting!  The primary responsibility is to
teach Physical Science in Grade 8.  In conjunction with this class, the
teacher will also instruct Robotics classes for Grades 6 & 8.  The Robotics
class serves as a hands-on, problem-solving extension of the Physical
Science class.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the full life of
the school by coaching athletic teams or supervising extracurricular
activities.

 

Location:  Greenville/Spartanburg area of South Carolina.

 

Work Begins:  August 2008

 

Compensation:  Competive with local public schools.

 

Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in physics, chemistry, or a related field.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.  Strong academic record.
Teacher certification not required. Enthusiasm for working with
middle-school students is essential!
